Meet the Bedford staff

Scott Mercier, MPT

Clinic Director

Scott has been with Apple Therapy since he was hired as a therapist in 2001; in 2005, Scott was promoted to Clinic Director. Having always been into sports along with overall health and fitness, Scott’s interest in pursuing physical therapy as a career was quite natural. Outside of work, Scott enjoys staying active and keeping fit as well as coaching lacrosse.

TJ Chandonnet, MPT

Physical Therapist

TJ has been with Apple Therapy since 2001. His areas of clinical and research interest are around Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy (MDT). Exposure to the field due to sports-related injuries led TJ to pursue this career.

Outside of work, TJ enjoys to bike and play hockey.

Jeff Davis, PTA

Physical Therapist Assistant

Jeff has been with Apple Therapy since 2007. His areas of clinical interest are nutrition, sports performance, and bowenwork. When asked what sparked his interest in pursuing this career, Jeff answered, “I saw how PT helped a friend go from a coma to regaining his previous level of function and I wanted to do the same for others”.

Outside of work, Jeff serves as an elder at his local church. He and his wife oversee the youth ministry. Jeff loves to learn how to play music on all sorts of instruments. He also loves to draw with his son and to play any sport. Jeff also has interests in video editing and production – as well as some dabbling in graphic design. He says, “I just love learning”.

Sandy Eaton, PTA

Physical Therapist Assistant

Sandy has been with Apple Therapy since 2002. Her clinical and research interests are in the areas of rehabilitation for athletes.

When asked why she chose to pursue this career, Sandy answered “When I was deciding what I wanted to do in the medical field, I had family members who needed PT.  After seeing what they did, it inspired me to pursue PT”. Outside of work, Sandy enjoys kayaking and going to the beach – especially Cape Cod. In the winter, although she’s not a big fan of the season – you can occasionally find her snowshoeing.

Mia Ness, OTR/L

Occupational Therapist

Mia has been with Apple Therapy since June, 2020. Her areas of clinical and research interest are broad; whether it’s the benefits of one approach compared to another, different therapy strategies, modalities, protocols… there are many!

When asked what sparked her interest in pursuing this career, Mia answered, “I have been interested in occupational therapy since high school – I always loved helping and connecting with people. I knew I wanted to help people overcome barriers and I have always been interested in the musculoskeletal system along with how our bodies work each and everyday”. Outside of work, Mia can be found exploring her new home of NH – she enjoys soccer, basketball, tennis, and running, as well as spending time with family and friends.

Carol Lewis, OTR, OT/L, CHT, CLT

Occupational Therapist

Carol has been with Apple Therapy since 2006; she is a Certified Hand Therapist and board certified in upper extremity rehabilitation. Carol treats chronic, acute, and post-surgical orthopedic injuries. She was inspired to pursue the field of occupational therapy by her desire to help her clients regain function after an illness or injury.

Outside of work, you can find her on the slopes in the winter as she loves to ski and even works as a ski patroller. In the warmer seasons, she can be found in her garden.

Michelle Baril

Office Manager

Michelle has been with Apple Therapy since 2004. As the Office Manager, she is responsible for the scheduling and triaging of patient appointments, checking patients in and out, ensuring proper payment collection and accurate health records. Michelle also works with insurance companies and providers to maintain all required authorizations and referrals.

Outside of work, Michelle enjoys traveling and shopping. You can also find her spending her free time with her husband, daughter, and their two cats.

Linda Torrisi

Administrative Assistant

Linda has been with Apple Therapy since 2019. As the office administrative assistant, she is responsible for checking patients in and out, collecting and recording patient payments, updating patient information, retrieving patient files, and the ordering and distribution of office supplies.

Outside of work, Linda enjoys staying active with activities like hiking and biking. She is also crafty with a couple of her hobbies being sewing and decorative painting. Linda spends her free time with her kids and grandkids as well as friends.
