Nicholas

Treated at Apple Therapy Londonderry

For July, we’re excited to recognize Nicholas Semenza from our Apple Therapy clinic in Londonderry as our Patient of the Month.

We selected Nick because he consistently showed up with a positive attitude, a smile to share with everyone, and a willingness to take on every challenge throughout his rehabilitation journey. Whether he was working through his exercises, adapting to life with an injury, or celebrating the small victories along the way, Nick approached each session with determination and optimism.

Nick began therapy with us in March following ACL reconstruction on his left knee, when there was still snow on the ground. Early on, the focus was simple but important: reducing pain and swelling, restoring his ability to walk comfortably, and gradually rebuilding strength. Like many people recovering from a significant injury, Nick also had to navigate time away from work and the disruption of his normal routine while staying committed to the rehabilitation process.

Recovery is rarely a journey someone takes alone. Nick was supported by his family and his now wife throughout his rehabilitation. He was also accompanied, at least to the parking lot, by his French Bulldog, Hank. During the cooler spring months, Hank would patiently wait in Nick’s truck while therapy was underway, and we’d often glance outside hoping to catch him peeking through the window. Even after the summer heat kept Hank at home, we always looked forward to hearing Nick’s latest stories about him.

Nick reminded us that rehabilitation is about more than exercises and strength testing. While every treatment plan is built on the best available evidence, it’s the relationships we build along the way that make physical therapy truly meaningful.

Today, Nick is nearing the end of his rehabilitation and preparing to return to the activities he enjoys. We’re proud of everything he has accomplished and grateful to have been part of his journey.

Congratulations, Nick!
